But the love of barbering actually started in 2020, during the lockdown while she was living with her family. With her previous career as a film industry hair and makeup artist under her belt, she was voted as the family’s barber, and with a cheap clipper set from Amazon, a barber was born. It was actually a year later when Terra enrolled in a barbering course that she actually learned the trade in it’s entirety, and in 2023 she became a certified Journeyperson.

She worked at two different, incredible local barbershops in Calgary, before deciding to venture into entrepreneurship and open her own private studio in Marda Loop in 2024. Wanting to expand her vision even more, Terra has now opened her new shop, Master of None Studios, which encapsulates her love of barbering, community, and creativity. With the barbershop on one side, and the photography studio/ multi-use creative space on the other, she’s hoping to create a space that can be used for connection, expansion, and education.
